President Bush's Health Care
According to www.georgewbush.com, President Bush has addressed several problem areas in health care during his presidency and has plans to pass more legislation to “make health care more accessible and affordable.” Some key areas President Bush has focused on are:
1.Signed legislation to make available new Health Savings Accounts, which are savings accounts that one can save pre-tax dollars for health care costs.
2.Seniors and disabled
peoples on Medicare received a prescription drug benefit, which is a tool that helps make prescription drugs more affordable.
3.Access to health care has become available to 3 million Americans through new or expanded community health centers.
4.Future health care proposals for the President include addressing the problem of medical malpractice premiums, which high premiums in turn make health care costs rise, and the president has a 5 year plan to add new and/or expand more community health care centers to give communities more access to quality health care.
