Arthur J. Gallagher & Co. to Buy Indiana-Based Insurance Firm
Insurance brokerage Arthur J. Gallagher & Co. [ticker: AJG] has agreed to acquire Columbus, Ind.-based Woods & Grooms Inc., a risk management and commercial property and casualty insurer for the diesel-engine distribution industry.
Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Employees at Woods & Grooms will remain at the company, but will operate under Gallagher’s international subsidiary Artex Risk Solutions Inc.
Gallagher
has acquired other insurance brokerage firms throughout the year as well, including Melton Insurance Associates Inc., Tropp & Co., and ISG International Inc.
